Decentralized UV Monitoring and Roller-Blind Control Prototype

Academic team project focused on UV sensing, logging, manual blind control, and prototype verification using Raspberry Pi devices.

Illustration of UV sensing and roller-blind control using a Raspberry Pi-based prototype

Overview

This academic team project explored a decentralized Raspberry Pi prototype for UV monitoring and roller-blind control. My work focused on architecture design, master-side logic, software flow, and prototype verification.

My Contribution

  • Contributed to the hardware architecture for the master-slave prototype.
  • Designed the software-flow structure for sensing, control, and logging.
  • Worked on master-side control logic for manual blind operation and system handling.
  • Verified working and non-working prototype functions through structured test cases.

Results

Demonstrated UV-data acquisition, CSV logging, manual blind control, fault-event logging, and auto-start while documenting BLE limitations affecting full automation.
